Let It Go

Addiction and disease. Let it go

Every time a negative or gloomy thought enters your mind deliberately take it out, think it out, voice it out. Let it go. Be free from addiction today. You must choose not to think about it rather you must choose to think about what it is your purpose is from here. You are on a mission and must choose thoughts, which can empower you, thoughts that can make you more of a person than you are today in body, mind and spirit. Once you have done this, emptied out the negative suggestion that flows from side to side in your mind, you have an empty space into which a positive thought must go. I am sure you have heard of positive affirmations. Simply replace your negative thought with a positive one. Soon it will become the norm. This will replace the self-ruling rush of useless thoughts that jump around from synapse to synapse.

One of my favourite lines comes from A Course in Miracles. “Perfect love casts out fear. If fear exists, then there is not perfect love. But, only perfect love exists. If there is fear, it produces a state that does not exist”.

Know that you can choose love, belief and positivity over doubt and fear.  Reality is not made up from rationalizations that you bring into being to protect yourself. The reality is that there is a right way, a good way and the best way for you. You are powerless over alcohol, drugs and addiction, this we know. The only question that remains is whether you choose this path or another.

As compulsion and addiction in whatever form, tends to get worse over time, it’s important to look for early warning signs. If identified and treated early, the addict, regardless of drug of choice, may be able to avoid major consequences of the disease. Call a specialist or therapist straight away. Call us. Doctors will often recommend alcohol treatment in terms of rehab as a last resort, which often leaves things too late. Action and change is a choice. At Pathways Rehab we are here to help guide and direct you the best we can.
